Josh Hanrahan is a Principal Adversary Hunter at Dragos. As part of the Threat Discovery team, Josh is focused on uncovering and tracking threat groups that target ICS organizations globally. More specifically, Josh focuses on threats to the electric sector and adversaries focused on the Asia Pacific region.
Josh came to Dragos from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, where as the Lead Threat Hunter, he managed a team of threat hunters and established the bank’s threat-hunting program.
Before Commonwealth Bank, Josh spent six years at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), where he held many technical positions across Systems Administration, Incident Response, Threat Hunting, and Threat Intelligence. As a Threat Intelligence Analyst at AEMO, Josh helped establish AEMO’s threat intelligence function and facilitated technical components of Australian energy industry intelligence groups.
