Brian Vianzon is a Systems Engineer supporting Dragos’ Product Engineering Team and focused on best practices for Systems Administration, DevOps, and Information Security. Prior to joining Dragos, he administered Classified Networks and Systems for the US Navy at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Corona Division, as a CSRA/GDIT contractor. Brian’s contributions include modernizing Software Development via Commercial Off-the-Shelf products and advising High Availability architectures and Disaster Recovery.
Brian’s career started in Technical Support for Linkline Communications (acquired by UIA) an Internet Service Provider in Southern California, building a deep understanding of Internet Technologies/Infrastructure. Upon completion of a B.A. in Behavioral Science from Cal Poly Pomona, a career in K-12 was cut short by the economic downturn and detour back to Linkline, pursing a second bachelor’s in Business Administrator (Information Systems concentration).
Recruited by iinside (a WirelessWERX company) as a Systems Administrator, Brian made a significant contribution migrating from Virtual Private Servers to scalable Amazon Web Services. Departing from iinside to Azusa Pacific University provided new opportunities to administer large System/Storage Infrastructure and Enterprise Platforms (Google Apps/G-Suite, Oracle, VMware) for 10,000 Students and 2,000 Faculty/Staff.
Aside from spending his off-time with his wife and three children, Brian enjoys mixing on the one’s and two’s, cutting a rug (Poppin’), and geeking out with various technologies (Virtualization, High Availability, RasberryPi, C.H.I.P).
