What to Expect at the Dragos Industrial Security Conference (DISC) in 2024

It’s hard to believe we are less than two months away from the kickoff of our annual Dragos Industrial Security Conference (DISC) taking place on Thursday, November 7, in Hanover, Maryland. We’re excited to bring you a full-day of presentations that share our latest threat intelligence research and field-based insights specific to securing industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) environments.  

What Is the Dragos Industrial Security Conference (DISC)? 

Now in its seventh year, DISC is an annual ICS security conference that is free for industrial asset owners and operators to attend and hear more on what’s happening in OT cyber threat intelligence and cybersecurity field operations. We share our latest threat intelligence research and field-based insights specific to securing ICS and OT environments.  

Dragos has a unique vantage point in understanding the OT security challenges through our boots-on-the-ground perspective of working with customers and our intelligence-driven focus of understanding the vulnerabilities that matter and the threats focused on OT. DISC is designed to highlight what our practitioners see and share our insights back to the community.  

We’ll walk through research that we have not published, emerging threat activity we don’t often disclose, and lessons learned from the field. For that reason, our audience is vetted and there is no media in attendance. Due to the sensitivity of the information presented, our exclusive content will not be publicly available after the event.

  Every year at DISC, we present the latest insights and interesting developments for new or existing cyber threat groups affecting ICS and OT. This year, we also have sessions on what defines ICS malware and our views on new wave industrial hacktivism.

  Dragos threat intelligence researchers share their deep dive into the discovery and analysis of unique research and developments that matter for ICS equipment. This year, we’ll offer practical guidance on how to accurately assess vulnerabilities and their impact on OT for more streamlined remediations.

  The Dragos Services teams offer real-world insights gained from the field within the past year, sharing case studies and lessons learned. This year, we highlight how to build actionable incident response playbooks and cover how the Dragos Ecosystem is primed for Purple Teaming.
