Dragos Named Cybersecurity Innovator of the Year in the 2020 MD Cybersecurity Awards by the Cybersecurity Association of Maryland, Inc.
The 4th annual awards program recognizes the best and brightest of Maryland’s cybersecurity industry
HANOVER, MD – September 18, 2020 – Dragos, Inc., provider of the Dragos Platform, the industry’s most trusted industrial asset identification, threat detection, and response technology, today announced the Cybersecurity Association of Maryland, Inc. (CAMI) has named the company Cybersecurity Innovator of the Year in their annual 2020 MD Cybersecurity Awards. These competitive awards recognize leading-edge cybersecurity products and services companies headquartered in Maryland for their innovations and contributions to the state’s cybersecurity ecosystem.
As part of its innovative approach to industrial cybersecurity, Dragos is the first firm to integrate the MITRE ATT&CK for ICS framework into its technology offering. Adversary hunters on the Dragos threat intelligence team identify and track adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures and create analytics and automated detection processes based on the intelligence gathered. The threat behavior detections incorporated into the Dragos Platform enable a level of effectiveness against cyber threats that is superior to alternative approaches.
“We’re proud to be a Maryland cybersecurity firm, and really excited to be recognized as a leading player in the Maryland cybersecurity community,” said Robert M. Lee, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Dragos, Inc. “Our job is to protect industrial infrastructure from cyber threats and as a technology company, we found Maryland and its dynamic cybersecurity community to be the perfect location to begin our global growth.”
In total, 84 nominations were considered across seven categories for the 2020 MD Cybersecurity Awards. Entries were evaluated by 12 independent judges whose roles range from Vice Presidents to Founders.
“We are pleased to name Dragos as a winner in the 2020 MD Cybersecurity Awards,” said Gregg Smith, Board Chairman of CAMI; CEO of Attila Security. “The winners comprise an elite group of cybersecurity leaders in the State of Maryland and have contributed immensely to Maryland’s growth as a national cybersecurity powerhouse.”
